You are in the driver's seat during this process. It's you who chooses the adoptive family. You can meet or talk with them until you feel comfortable with your decision.

And while adoption means you give up baby's daily presence in your life, it doesn't mean you'll have no role in the future. You can choose an open adoption where you have visits and receive pictures.
